Alright, I'll be the first to admit that I don't get this whole "Vocaloid" craze, and when I was first sent a link to some Youtube Vocaloid animated music video I was skeptical at best. But geeze. Oh my fucking god. I don't use the word ' perfect ' a lot, but--just watch it. Now.

Here's a stamp for appreciators of this masterpiece. This video brings together everything I love at once--it's creepy and cute, disturbing and fascinating, with beautifully stylized art and a great tune. Not only that, but it brings you back for a second look--a third look, a fourth, again and again. Each time you watch it you notice something new, each time you hear the lyrics you pick up on some more meaning, each time you watch in slow motion to examine each frame you find more symbolism, meaning, suggestion. It's just incredible, and the best part is that it can be enjoyed by a casual viewer on first impression, or an over-analyzing, over-thinker like myself.

Dark Woods Circus was one of the more haunting songs from Vocaloid, im still finding more things in the lyrics.

Dark Woods Circus is one of my favorite Vocaloid songs. :3 I didn't get the craze either, until I stumbled across a link for the "Human Sacrifice Alice" video. :heart:
