Mmkay, so today I was looking at my old ref sheets and despairing at how outdated they are. Already. Even Skitty and Sirius. How some don't have enough information, and how others have too much, and how some I really wish I had the PSD for still because the text is retarded...

And how I can never, ever, EVER seem to stick with a ref style for very long.

And how I hate having to search up 48209483209482 different pictures drawn by other people to actually get all the information when I commission someone....

So I'm doing a new version of them. Starting with the characters who need it the most (Draw, Bleach, Glitter etc.), as well as working on the ones who NEVER had a ref and need a design touch-up since the last picture I drew of them (Saga, Requiems, Law, Arcane, etc.) then going to the ones that have been gone for a long time and I really would like to revive (Zigzag, Gambit, Ring, Jet, Puff, Clear etc.) (Bonus pointz to anyone who knows/can guess which long-abandoned characters fit these names!)

Eventually I'll get Skitty and Sirius done. Their refs are 99% accurate design wise (100% in Skitty's case) aside from stylistic touch ups I'd like to make. So don't worry if you're planning on drawing one of them--you won't really be missing anything by using these versions.

ANYWAY! Another change I'm making is finally figuring out that text goes in the desc, images go in the picture. This way I'll be able to tweak bits of their history/personality without needing a WHOLE NEW REF OMG. This is what will be in the desc, and what everything means:


Full Given Name: (birth name, most Amarans don't use this past childhood.)
Alias/Aquired Name: (the 'real word' name they go by)
Age: (duh)
Gender: (duh)
Body Type: (thin/fat, short/tall, muscular/frail, whatever.)
Animal: (species, duh)
Blood: (Demon, half-demon, angel, undead, fae, etc.)
Occupation: (OMG characters have jobs now???)
Residence: (Where in Amaranthine they live)

Personality: (Duh.)

Dress Style: (Notes about their preferred style of dress, in case you want to draw a different outfit for them--which is perfectly fine, though I'd prefer their normal outfit by default)

History: (No need to pay attention to this unless you really want to find out more about the character)

You don't have to pay attention to this unless you actually care. xD

My new strategy of posting information about my characters/stuff is to make it available but not unavoidable if you don't care. Whenever I do an infodump, I tend to get no comments whatsoever. I get the feeling that most of my watchers are probably annoyed by the Amaranthine infodumps, but I know there are a few of my buddies who are a interested in my character's history and stuff. xD
